We are looking for artists who LOVE cartooning.

Tell us about YOU!

There are only ten spots to participate in the intimate cartooning drawing intensive. We ask applicants to show us at least ten samples with their application. They can be pages of a graphic novel, comic strips, character designs, pages of a picture book dummy, kid’s comic, or portfolio pieces. Supply a website, Instagram link, or even a link to a Google Drive with your samples. This form will not allow attachments. The links typed out will be great!

Let us know where you are on your cartooning journey. Are you published? Pre-published? What kind of cartooning do you do? What sort of cartooning has influenced you the most? Where do you want to be as a cartoonist in five years? Are you working on a project you want to bring with you? Bring it along, and we will give you one-on-one feedback!

Please provide any preferred pronouns or dietary accommodations you might need.

We are looking for ten artists who want to level up by working hard and drawing more! Chuck Jones said: “Every artist has thousands of bad drawings in them, and the only way to get rid of them is to draw them out.”

For April, we will review applications and notify accepted participants starting May 1st! A link to the Highlights Registration will be provided at that time. You will be paying the fees to Highlights directly.

This will be a lot of Fun!
